Who we are

A Cozier Cottage is an online home & decor shop operated from Landsmeer, the Netherlands. For privacy questions, write to blaaskobold@proton.me.

What we collect

Order details: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, the items you bought and the amount paid.
Payment details: handled by our payment providers. We see the result of a payment and the last digits of a card; we never see or store your full card number.
Messages: anything you send us through the contact form or by email.
Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected through cookies set by our store platform and its analytics.

Why we use it

To take payment, ship your order and keep you updated on it; to answer your questions and handle returns; to keep records of sales for tax and accounting; to understand which pages and products people use so we can improve the shop; and to prevent fraud and abuse.

Who we share it with

Shopify hosts the store, processes orders and provides analytics.
Payment providers process your payment. Which ones apply is shown at checkout.
Carriers and our suppliers' warehouses receive the name, address and phone number needed to deliver your order.
Email and support tools we use to answer you.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only to run the shop, or where the law requires it.

Cookies

Cookies keep your cart and checkout session working and let us see aggregate traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the cart and checkout may then not work.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Messages are kept while we need them to help you. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email blaaskobold@proton.me and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to object to certain processing and to complain to your data protection authority.
